The Union Territory is making remarkable development
Srinagar. Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday said that the Union Territory has made remarkable development in every field since the withdrawal of the special status. Significantly, on August 5, 2019, Jammu and Kashmir was made a union territory by revoking most of the provisions of Article 370. Sinha told reporters here, “There have been major changes in Jammu and Kashmir in the last three years. The common man feels that a lot has changed in his life. J&K has made great progress in every field, be it health norms, PMGSY (Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana), e-governance or start-ups.
Taking this step, today i.e. on the completion of three years on Friday, there is no bandh anywhere in Jammu and Kashmir. Sinha said, ‘No shop is closed today. Instead of pelting stones, today the youth wants to work with smart phones. He is interested in start up. This is a big change. The Lt Governor said that the biggest change is that the decisions taken by the Center have instilled a new confidence among the people across the country. He said, ‘That is why 1.10 crore tourists have come to Jammu and Kashmir in the last seven months.’ Sinha said there is peace and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir and the Union Territory is moving ahead on the path of development “to become a new Jammu and Kashmir because of the Prime Minister”.
