Patna. Big business of counterfeit notes has been exposed in Patna, the capital of Bihar. Patna Police has arrested two smugglers with a consignment of counterfeit notes. Both the arrested smugglers are citizens of Nepalese origin. The police of Shastri Nagar police station has taken this action on the basis of secret information received from the officials. Fake notes worth Rs 2.25 lakh have been recovered from the arrested smugglers. Both the arrested youths are residents of Nepal, to whom a youth from Kashmir had given some genuine Indian notes along with fake ones.
According to Patna Police, the arrested youths may also have Pakistani connections. The accused have been identified as Dinesh Yadav and Sushil Kumar Mishra. Dinesh is a resident of Sirha district of Nepal while Sushil is a resident of Mohtari district of Nepal. Both these smugglers were staying in room number 41 of Dev Rest House in Raja Bazar, Patna. 1558 fake notes of 100 rupees and 305 fake notes of 200 have been found from them.
Police said that the original 500 notes have also been found from both of them. In fact, the police officers had received secret information that smugglers were staying in the capital with fake notes. On the basis of the information, the police started raids in different police station areas. Meanwhile, Shastri Nagar police station got information that two suspects are staying in the rest house for Brahma Sthan. The police immediately reached the spot and when they checked their papers and belongings, a consignment of counterfeit notes was caught from them.
According to Patna Police, the strings of this gang are spread from Patna to Nepal. At present, the police is engaged in investigating the CDR of the arrested accused so that information about all the people involved in this racket can be found. At present, this matter of supply chain of fake notes has definitely reached Patna via Nepal, but the important information that has been received on the basis of inquiry cannot be denied that a large network is working behind it. Patna SSP said that at present, the police has obtained information about the remaining members of this gang and soon more arrests will be made in it.
