The CBI raided 30 places on Friday in connection with the alleged irregularities in the recruitment of J&K sub-inspectors.
The Jammu and Kashmir administration had last month canceled the recruitment of sub-inspectors (SIs) in the Jammu and Kashmir Police following complaints of irregularities.

New Delhi. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday conducted raids at 30 locations in connection with the probe into alleged irregularities in the recruitment of sub-inspectors by the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB). The officers provided this information. After registering an FIR against 32 people, including JKSSB member Narayan Dutt, middlemen and candidates in the matter, raids were conducted at 28 places in Jammu and one each in Srinagar and Bengaluru, he said.

The CBI has also named Karnail Singh, a medical officer posted in Jammu, Avinash Gupta, owner of a ‘coaching center’ at Akhnoor and a Bangalore-based company in the FIR, he said.

The Jammu and Kashmir administration had last month canceled the recruitment of sub-inspectors (SIs) in the Jammu and Kashmir Police following complaints of irregularities and handed over a probe into the selection process to the CBI.
