On the other hand, the other 9 officers and employees were given to the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi VK Saxena (VK SaxenaOn the orders of the Chief Secretary, suspended and major disciplinary action has been ordered. Sources reveal that orders for suspension and major disciplinary action have also been taken against 3 other ad-hoc Danix officers and 4 other officers of the Excise Department.
The LG has taken this decision in view of the serious lapse in the implementation of the excise policy on the part of the concerned authorities. These include, inter alia, irregularities in finalization of tenders and grant of post tender benefits to selected vendors, as revealed by the Directorate of Vigilance (DOV) investigation report.
