Hyderabad: Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ from Kanyakumari to Kashmir is expected to reach Telangana on October 24. Rahul Gandhi will cover a distance of about 366 km in the state. Balram Naik, former Union Minister and coordinator for the visit of Telangana, gave this information on Tuesday. He said that the foot march in the state would start from Makthal in Mahbubnagar district and would pass through four Lok Sabha constituencies and nine assembly constituencies.
Naik said that the final draft of the exit route for the yatra will be handed over to the party high command soon. However, there may be some changes in this as March is expected to continue for 15 days in the state. Naik said, “The yatra will enter Telangana on October 24. In this, four Lok Sabha constituencies and nine assembly constituencies will be included, a total distance of 366 km will be covered.

Telangana Congress sources said the yatra is expected to give a fillip to the party ahead of the assembly elections in 2023. Thousands of Congress workers are expected to march with Rahul Gandhi. He said that Rahul Gandhi can end his journey in Telangana in Jukkal district and then he will enter Maharashtra.
The Congress on Monday said that the 150-day ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ of 3,500 km from September 7 will be the party’s biggest public relations program so far and Rahul Gandhi will walk all the way from Kanyakumari to Kashmir.
