75 bikers to pass through 75 memorial sites across the country

New Delhi: On the occasion of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the government will flag off a unique motorcycle rally from Delhi in the coming September, in which 75 bikers will travel across the country for 3 months. Under this bike rally, bikers will visit snowy peaks of Siachen Base Camp, Kargil, Nathu La Pass, Statue of Unity, Sabarmati Ashram and places of national importance. This bike campaign is being planned by the government in collaboration with the All India Motorbike Expedition Organization. The motive behind this is that 75 bikers will spread the country’s heritage and culture, the message of health and fitness across India.

News18 has learned that it will be a nearly 3-month long campaign, under which 75 bikers will cover a distance of around 21,000 kms in over 250 districts across 34 states and union territories. This campaign can be flagged off from Delhi by top ministers of the central government in the second week of September. Events will be organized at 75 iconic places in the country through which bikers will pass. These bikers will be warmly welcomed by government representatives, celebrities and general public everywhere.

What is the government’s plan regarding bike rally?
Celebrating the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ and spreading the message of ‘Fitness Ka Doz Aadh Ghanta Rose’, the bikers will also focus on popularizing the ‘Fit India Mobile App’. He will organize the youth of the country and invite them to be a part of this motorcycle rally. Youth will have to write bikes up to 10 km in their districts or blocks.

What will be the route of this bike rally?
As per the possible route so far, after being flagged off from Delhi, bikers will visit Hussainiwala National Martyrs Memorial in Punjab, Lala Lajpat Rai’s ancestral residence and Jallianwala Bagh Memorial in Amritsar. From there he will go to Kargil War Memorial and Siachen Base Camp in Ladakh. These bikers will visit Rashtrapati Niwas in Himachal Pradesh, Rani Laxmi Bai Mahal and Jhansi Fort in Madhya Pradesh, Imambara and Dilkusha Palace in Lucknow as well as Chunar Fort in Mirzapur, Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi and Ganga Ghats. Bikers apart from visiting iconic places like Veer Kunwar Singh’s birthplace and Dr Rajendra Prasad Memorial House in Bihar, Nathu La Pass on the Indo-China border, Indo-Bhutan border, Kamakhya Temple in Assam, Peyoli with Puhkan hanging site and Eta Fort He will also visit Kangla Fort in Manipur.

The campaign will also cover the Indo-Myanmar border, the Indian National Army (INA) Martyrs Memorial Complex in Manipur, the Indo-Bangladesh border and Unakoti Rock Carving in Tripura. Other iconic places to be covered by bikers are Victoria Memorial in Kolkata, Birsa Munda Museum in Jharkhand, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose’s birthplace and Swaraj Ashram in Odisha, Mahanta Ghasidas Memorial in Chhattisgarh, Statue of Equality in Telangana, News18 reported. and Ramoji Film City, Victoria Jubilee Museum in Andhra Pradesh, Sacred Heart Basil Church in Puducherry, Palace Ramalinga Museum in Tamil Nadu, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Memorial and Vivekananda Rock Memorial.

Other stops under this campaign include ISRO Headquarters in Karnataka, Rajguru in Maharashtra, Lokmanya Tilak’s birthplace and August Kranti Maidan, Lighthouse in Daman and Diu, Statue of Unity in Gujarat, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s birthplace as well as the Amul Plant. Other stops under this campaign include ISRO Headquarters in Karnataka, Rajguru in Maharashtra, Lokmanya Tilak’s birthplace and August Kranti Maidan, Lighthouse in Daman and Diu, Statue of Unity in Gujarat, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s birthplace as well as the Amul Plant. Bikers will also visit Mahatma Gandhi’s birthplace, Sabarmati Ashram and Akshardham Temple in Gujarat, Taj-ul-Masjid in Madhya Pradesh and City Palace in Rajasthan. The bike rally is expected to end in the last week of November in Delhi.
