Indian team management rests all-rounder Hardik Pandya
Rishabh Pant has got a chance in place of experienced all-rounder Hardik Pandya.
Indian team can reach Super 4 by winning the match against Hong Kong
New Delhi. Former Indian cricket team opener Gautam Gambhir is not happy about the inclusion of Rishabh Pant in the playing XI in place of Hardik Pandya in the match against Hong Kong (IND vs HK). India made a change in the playing XI for their second and last match of the league against Hong Kong, continuing at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium as part of the Asia Cup. Team India will reach Super 4 by winning this match.
Gautam Gambhir, a member of the 2011 World Cup winning team, said on Star Sports, ‘Rishabh Pant should be included in place of Dinesh Karthik. Deepak Hooda is replaced in the playing XI in place of Hardik Pandya. I do not agree with Pant being included in the team instead of Hardik. If Deepak Hooda is given a chance in place of Pandya, he can also bowl a few overs.

Rishabh Pant did not get a chance against Pakistan. Dinesh Karthik played the role of wicketkeeper in that match. Hardik Pandya is in excellent form at the moment. He did well against Pakistan with bat and ball. Bhuvneshwar Kumar took four wickets against Pakistan, while Hardik took three wickets as well as played a match-winning innings of 33 not out.
Gautam Gambhir said, ‘There are constant changes in the Indian team, which is not wrong. I am in favor of feeding Rishabh Pant instead of Dinesh Karthik. If you rest Hardik Pandya, Deepak Hooda deserves to join the team in his place. Deepak Hooda has recently performed well for Team India so far.
