New Delhi. Former Indian cricket team openers Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir are returning to the cricket field again. Sehwag will captain Gujarat Giants in the Legends Cricket League to be held at Eden Gardens from September 16, while Gautam Gambhir has been given the command of India Capitals.
Virender Sehwag has said that he is very excited to return to the cricket ground while Gautam Gambhir, who retired from professional cricket in 2018, has also wished the tournament success. Gambhir has said that he is eager to play in this tournament. A total of four teams will participate in this tournament. During this 16 matches will be played. The matches will be played in Kolkata, Lucknow, New Delhi, Cuttack and Jodhpur. Where the playoff and final match will be played, its venue has not been decided yet.

A total of three teams took part in the first edition of the tournament, including teams from India Maharaja, Asia Lions and World Giants. The upcoming season of this tournament will be dedicated to the 75th anniversary of India’s independence. The first match of the tournament will be between Indian Maharaj vs World Giants. This match will be played at the historic Eden Gardens in Kolkata from 7.30 pm.
All the matches of the Legends Cricket League will be broadcast on Sony Sports Network. The live streaming of the match can be seen on Sony Live app. During this a special match will be played. Indian Maharaj, Asian Lions and World Giants will be captained by Mohammad Kaif, Misbah-ul-Haq and Darren Sammy respectively.
