Pakistan beat India by 5 wickets in Asia Cup
Mohammad Rizwan scored a half-century

New Delhi. Pakistan accounted for the defeat at the hands of India in the group-stage of Asia Cup in Super-4. Pakistan achieved the target of 182 runs by losing 5 wickets. Mohammad Rizwan’s half-century played an important role in Pakistan’s victory. Apart from him, Mohammad Nawaz also played an important innings of 42 runs. Hardik Pandya was the biggest culprit of India’s defeat. Both his batting and bowling did not work in this match. Apart from him, there were many villains in the defeat of Team India.

Pandya shines in one match, flops in another
Hardik Pandya played an important role in helping India win the first match of the Asia Cup against Pakistan. He also took 3 wickets with 33 not out. But, he failed to repeat this performance in the Super-4 match. He could not even open the account and wasted a lot of runs in the bowling. Pandya gave 44 runs in 4 overs and took only one wicket.

Indian middle order flop show
The opening pair of Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul got India off to a good start. Both had added 54 runs in 30 balls for the first wicket. But, the middle order batsmen ruined this start. Especially Suryakumar Yadav, who played a stormy innings in the last match, could not take advantage of this start. He scored 13 runs. India had to bear the brunt of this.

Pant’s power did not show
Rishabh Pant got preference over Dinesh Karthik in this match. But, he could not take advantage of this opportunity and failed to play big innings. Pant got out after scoring just 14 runs. Captain Rohit Sharma looked very angry about the way he got out. When Pant returned to the dressing room, Rohit took his class fiercely.

Arshdeep Singh did not look effective
The wicket of Dubai on which the Pakistani pacer bowled well. Arshdeep Singh was seen struggling on it. He did not look effective with the new ball and proved to be expensive in the middle over as well. He also dropped a catch of Asif Ali, which fell heavily on India.

Yuzvendra Chahal also did not shine
Yuzvendra Chahal is one of India’s highest wicket-takers in T20Is. But, he could not leave a mark against Pakistan. He gave 43 runs in 4 overs and could take only one wicket. On his balls, Pakistan batsmen hit 1 six with 6 fours. He failed to take wickets in the middle over. For this reason, even after Babar’s early dismissal, India could not put pressure on Pakistan.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar came to bowl the 19th over of the Indian innings and he bowled 2 wides in this over. Not only this, in this over of Bhuvneshwar, Pakistani batsmen blew 1 six and 2 fours and made the match in fist. In the last over, Pakistan needed 7 runs in 6 balls, which they easily achieved.
