Team India beat Australia in Nagpur T20
Rohit Sharma and Axar Patel were the heroes of victory

New Delhi. India defeated Australia in the second match of the 3 T20 series played in Nagpur. With this, Team India leveled the series 1-1. Australia won the first T20 in Mohali by 4 wickets. Captain Rohit Sharma was the hero of India’s victory. He scored 46 runs in 20 balls. Nagpur T20 started late by two and a half hours due to rain. For this reason, the overs also had to be cut and instead of 20, the match was 8-8 overs. Indian captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bowl first. Australia had lost 3 wickets within 31 runs. But, captain Aaron Finch (31) and Matthew Wade played an unbeaten 43 off 20 balls in the last over to take Australia to a score of 90 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 8 overs. India achieved the target of 91 runs.

Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul got India off to a good start. Both of them scored 30 runs in the first two overs of the powerplay. Rohit hit two sixes in the first over of Josh Hazlewood and one six by KL Rahul. After this, Rohit hit a six each in the second and third overs as well. However, KL Rahul got out in the third over for a quick run. He was made his victim by Adam Zampa. Rahul got out after scoring 10 runs in 6 balls. Rohit hit four sixes in the first 3 overs.

After Rahul’s dismissal, Virat Kohli came to bat. He played some crisp shots as soon as he arrived. But, then he too got bowled on the ball of Zampa in the 5th over of the Indian innings in the pursuit of getting quick runs. Kohli got out after scoring 11 runs in 6 balls. India got the third blow on the next ball. Suryakumar Yadav got out lbw in the affair of playing sweep off Zampa’s ball. He could not even open the account. However, Rohit Sharma stood at one end and gave India victory.

Akshar took 2 wickets
Earlier, during Australia’s batting, Axar Patel bowled the most direct. He gave only 13 runs in 2 overs of his quota and took 2 wickets. The comeback Jasprit Bumrah proved to be a bit expensive. He took 1 wicket for 23 runs in 2 overs. After 5 overs, Australia’s score was 46 runs for the loss of 4 wickets. But, in the next 18 balls, Australia scored 44 runs. Matthew Wade’s biggest contribution was in this. This wicket-keeper batsman scored 43 not out in 20 balls. Harshal Patel came to throw the last over of Australia’s innings and in this over, Wade hit 3 sixes and took Australia’s score to 90 runs in 8 overs.
