Women’s IPL to start by early next year

New Delhi: In the women’s ODI series between India and England, the Indian women’s team won by 88 runs with Harmanpreet Kaur’s brilliant century and Harleen Deol’s best half-century. The Indian team is leading 2-0 in the three-match ODI series. In the coming days, the Indian women’s team is going to get good news. Actually BCCI is planning to launch the Women’s Indian Premier League (IPL) early next year.
According to a report in Times of India, BCCI President and former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly has informed the state boards for the upcoming Women’s IPL. Ganguly wrote in his email, ‘BCCI is working for the upcoming Women’s IPL. We are looking forward to the first season early next year.

Ganguly further wrote in the email, ‘Apart from IPL, the board will also start the Under-15 tournament for girls. We are happy that we will start this tournament for girls. Our national team is doing well and this tournament will pave the way for our girls to play in international cricket.
Ganguly said, ‘From next year onwards, the Men’s IPL will also be organized at home. In which 10 teams will play on their home ground. Actually IPL was organized in India before 2020 but due to Corona epidemic it was being organized outside the country.
